2018 ITB AOTULE GRADUATE STUDENTS SUMMER PROGRAM @BANDUNG- INDONESIA, 2 –17 Aug. 2018

「亞洲大洋洲頂尖大學工學院聯盟」（Asia-Oceania Top University League on Engineering, AOTULE）會員校之一「印尼萬隆理工大學（Institut Teknologi Bandung, ITB）」主辦之2018年暑期課程即日起開放申請，有興趣之電資院研究生請將所需審查資料備妥，並於6/27（三）17時前送交電資院博理館202辦公室尹小姐，逾時無法收件。
課程內容：(Theme) GREEN ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT, and SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE: When Engineers Save The Planet.
During 2 weeks outside the lectures, there will be site and company visit, village stay, community service, practicums, cultural visit and experience, and major project.

In the frame of AOTULE spirit, a graduate student summer program will be held in Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, 2-17 Aug. 2018. The program is aimed to be an internationalization forum for AUTOLE graduate students. The participants of the program will be graduate students from AUTOLE university members. The program will be organized by faculties/schools in Institut Teknologi Bandung and will be coordinated by the International Relation Office of ITB. Applicants need to prepare all documents and submit to Dana Yiin BEFORE 17:00 on 6/27 at Room 202, Barry Lam Hall.

2019 Polytechnique Montréal Winter Research Internship Program
申請人資格:
1. 實習期間具有台大學生身分(不可休學)
2. 實習開始前完成至少2年的engineering學士課程or 1年engineering碩士或博士課程
*每個research project規定的資格不同,請詳見簡章說明
一、期間: 建議至少4個月 (通常為2019年1-5月) ，其他時間點或實習期間可與蒙特婁理工大學討論
二、推薦名額:台大電資學院5名學生
三、獎學金:若獲該校錄取，蒙特婁理工大學提供台大工學院和電資學院兩院共一個獎學金名額，金額為每月加幣1000 （以四個月為上限）
四、截止時間:2018年7月13日下午5:00前將申請文件親送博理館202室尹子真小姐收, 蒙特婁理工大學將於9月宣布錄取結果

This event is held by NTU EE Student Association.
It’s a chance to know the research fields of EE professors.
More than 50 professors will talk about his/her research field. Talks by professors are given in Chinese but some PPT slides are in English.

Lawrence S. Ting School in Vietnam Visited NTU College of EECS
July 12, 2017
26 teachers and students from Lawrence S. Ting School in Vietnam, led by their Principal Chen, visited NTU College of EECS and NTU College of Engineering on July 10th. The welcome and intro session was held in R201 Barry Lam Hall. Intro about the two colleges was given by Associate Dean Wang of College of EECS and Associate Dean Chen of College of Engineering in additional to attractive and interesting speeches given by Professor JS Jang and Professor Jiun-Yun Li of College of EECS. Students raised many questions and left with a knowledge-loaded mind and strong interests in the field of EECS. Good relationship has been established between Lawrence S. Ting School and NTU College of EECS.

Content:

The program will be equivalent to 2 SKS (2 credit semester unit). (credit transfer to NTU credits is subject to the regulation at your graduate institute)

After program, the student needs to submit a report to share his/he experience of this program (A4, 2 pages at least with photos). The report will be published on EECS International Affairs Website.
◎About subsidy
1. Flight ticket subsidy will be paid after the program. The student needs to prepare all required documents for subsidy application.

Renewed MOU with USC Viterbi School of Engineering
February 20, 2017
The University of Southern California (USC) delegation led by the President of USC visit NTU on February 21st, 2017. Dean Yannis Yortsos and Professor Chung Chieh Kuo from Viterbi School of Engineering, USC as members of the delegation had paid a visit to College of EECS and College of Engineering on the same day. With USC Viterbi School of Engineering, 3 college has gathered to discuss several possibilities on the future cooperation. The Memorandum of Understanding between the 3 college is also renewed on this day. Professor Chung Chieh Kuo, EE Professor, USC was also invited to give a speech to interested faculty and students on topic: Deep Learning Networks-Architectural Evolution and Theoretical Foundation.
